About this role
Do you have previous experience in calibrating combustion systems and want to continue your journey with a global company in the automotive industry? We are now looking for someone who is ready to take on a new exciting challenge where no day is the same! We welcome your application.
About the position:
As an Engine Calibration Engineer, you will be a key player in the development of future drivetrains. Your main task will be to meet customers' high expectations for quality, fuel consumption, and performance, while ensuring that the products comply with current and upcoming emission regulations. You will achieve this by selecting the right engine hardware components and calibrating engine-related functions to optimize both efficiency and environmental performance.
The upcoming emission requirements demand high levels of innovation, and you will contribute to developing advanced control strategies in conjunction with optimized engine hardware. The work takes place in agile teams with close collaboration between calibration, software development, and design.
In your daily work, you will experience a varied and dynamic work environment where you alternate between working in the engine laboratory, conducting virtual tests, simulations, data analysis, creative meetings, and vehicle testing. You will follow the calibration journey from idea and concept to test cell and final verification in trucks. Climate testing in both warm and cold environments is also part of the role.
The teams operate according to agile methods, where each team plans their sprints and delivers solutions together, valuing an open and supportive culture centered around knowledge sharing and collaboration. The tasks vary between being part of larger development projects and shorter assignments that improve features in existing products.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has 2-3 years of experience in engine calibration or combustion engine development.
• Is fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Holds at least a bachelor's degree in mechatronics.
Furthermore, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, where we seek someone who is proactive and responsible. You are communicative and enjoy collaborating with others, and you have the ability to build trusting relationships with customers and colleagues.
