Who are we looking for?
We are now seeking a passionate, curious, and enthusiastic Head Chef to join the newly renovated Restaurant Lantbruket, located at Stockholm University. You are an organized and natural leader responsible for the kitchen's operations, finances, and quality.
As Head Chef, you will ensure compliance with laws and procedures as well as Compass Group's policies, rules, and values. Your responsibilities include self-monitoring, inventory management, pre- and post-calculation of all dishes, tracking key performance indicators, waste management, and purchasing. You will also be responsible for creating sustainable dishes and menus based on trends, seasons, and guest preferences.
Working hours are primarily weekdays during the day, but evening and weekend work may occur.
About Restaurant Lantbruket
Restaurant Lantbruket opens in completely renovated premises with a capacity for 300 guests.
Lunch buffet will be served daily from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM.
Evening and weekend orders available upon request.
Who are you?
• You have a degree in hotel and restaurant management with a focus on culinary arts or equivalent.
• You have at least 5 years of experience as a chef or equivalent.
• You have a minimum of 2 years of experience with personnel and financial responsibility.
• You should have experience working with menu planning systems.
• You possess excellent knowledge of gastronomy, nutrition, kitchen economics, and waste management.
• You have strong analytical skills and are results-oriented.
• You can effectively plan and structure work.
• You have the ability to lead and delegate tasks and translate decisions into action.
• You are attentive and responsive, with good knowledge of labor law and workplace safety.
• You are creative and solution-oriented.
• You recognize your role in ensuring guest satisfaction, are positive, resilient under pressure, and have strong collaboration and communication skills.
• You take responsibility through your passion to maintain a high level of service and quality in your deliveries.
• You enjoy fast-paced days, can take initiative, and are flexible in your professional role.
• You speak and write Swedish fluently.
• You have good computer skills and knowledge of Office365.
