Job Responsibilities
In the role of kitchen assistant, tasks are diverse. The starting point is dishwashing and tray setup for patients. This involves a physically demanding day with some lifting and extensive cleaning. Meals are set up three times a day for patients, which requires good Swedish language skills. Each tray has a meal card describing the type of food to be placed on the tray, while the serving belt moves.
Our operation includes many stations, and for the right person, there are opportunities to help at various locations. We have, among others, a hot kitchen, restaurants, and a café.
About the Workplace
Måltidsservice Halmstad produces and delivers approximately 800 meals daily to patients, staff, and visitors. Additionally, we prepare meals for internal catering. Our mission is to collectively prepare meals from scratch with competence, pride, and care. We honor our traditions while following trends and drawing inspiration from different cultures.
Qualifications
You are a structured person with a positive attitude. You enjoy working both independently and in a group. We expect you to be interested in food and service and have the willingness to take responsibility and engage. To succeed and be happy in the role, you need to communicate and collaborate easily. Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, are required.
Previous experience in kitchen/restaurant work and completed HACCP training are considered advantageous.
