Your Mission
In your role as a lawyer, you will plan, coordinate, and follow up on legal investigative work and deepen the interpretation of legal applications within welfare and children and learning sectors. You will track legal developments and provide advice on matters concerning operational responsibilities, conduct investigations, and ensure legally secure case handling. An important part of the work is to prepare, investigate, and present cases of a legal nature for political committees, as well as provide support and guidance in case management.
You will also contribute by educating and mentoring staff on legal issues and be responsible for providing qualified support ranging from individual cases to comprehensive legal application. The role additionally includes representing committees in administrative court, performing supervision in preschools, and being responsible for GDPR coordination within both sectors.
Workplace Description
We are seeking a lawyer for the welfare and children and learning sectors. You will be organized within the welfare sector but will have your tasks and assignments as a lawyer in both sectors. The children and learning sector is responsible for preschool, school, and leisure activities, as well as individual and family care for persons 0-20 years old. The welfare sector is responsible for providing support and service to adults from 20 years and up, including elderly care, disability support, social services, and addiction care.
Your Competence
We are looking for someone with a law degree or other relevant academic qualification. You have experience handling cases in public administration and are accustomed to working independently on legal matters. Experience from similar tasks in municipal operations is meritorious.
As a person, you are confident in your professional role and work independently while having good collaborative abilities and easily creating trusting relationships. You are attentive, flexible, and able to see the big picture and understand how your role contributes to the organization's overall goals.
Furthermore, you are strategic and analytical with a solution-focused approach. You can quickly comprehend complex issues, weigh different perspectives, and contribute to well-grounded decisions.
You must have excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, and be able to express yourself clearly in various contexts.
