Our newly established unit needs to grow with additional lawyers for work involving qualified legal matters across various areas of law. About the job In our unit, we work with a simplified court procedure, where we, instead of the court, make decisions in cases concerning payment orders and assistance. We also handle the enforcement review of judgments and decisions, as well as processing cases related to corrections, blocking, and deletion of data in the authority's operational databases. Your workday will be varied. You will work across several different areas of law, including procedural law, property and tenancy law, contract law, consumer law, family law, corporate law, and enforcement law. You will manage cases concerning special assistance, conduct legal investigations, and write opinions for courts and other authorities. The role involves many external contacts, both in writing and by phone. Additionally, you will provide legal support to case handlers in several units within the department. This means that, in a coaching role, you need to be prepared to quickly handle and respond to various types of inquiries. Everyone working at the Enforcement Authority contributes to the fight against crime. Your responsibilities will include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes. As a lawyer, you can, for example, counter fictitious claims in applications for payment orders, thereby preventing welfare crimes. Possible locations for the position may include Luleå, Umeå, Östersund, Gävle, Uddevalla, and Visby. Currently, these are where the unit's lawyers and enforcement officers are based. Your qualifications: - A degree from a law program with at least 270 ECTS credits (180 credits according to the old system) - Notary qualification It is desirable that you have relevant work experience in legal advice or relevant work experience from an authority. Good to know The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as a lawyer. The Enforcement Authority offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer. Working in the government means adhering to the government’s values. There are also specific requirements for judgment, security awareness, and compliance with applicable laws. We will ask questions during the interview regarding any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in past employment. For final candidates, these questions will also be posed to references. We will also gather information about debts registered with the Enforcement Authority, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions. The information obtained will be considered in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position. Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security assessment with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted prior to the employment decision.
