The Department for Children and Families administers a number of different social insurance benefits, including parental leave, pregnancy compensation, child support, and housing allowance. The Legal Support operational area is responsible for the department's case review activities, litigation in court, and legal support closely related to case management. Our department's lawyers in the Children and Families department are located in Gothenburg, Örebro, and Stockholm. We are in an exciting developmental phase and need to expand our team. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking responsibility for their tasks. Legal Support, Development, and Collaboration Working as a lawyer within a social insurance department entails special responsibility for the correct and uniform application of social insurance and other applicable legislation. Based on legal governance, you will be responsible for monitoring legal developments within the insurance area you operate in. By providing legal support on administrative law issues to specialists, development activities, and managers within the insurance area, you contribute to good legal quality. You share your knowledge and contribute to effective collaboration both within the department and with other departments, including the agency's legal department. As a lawyer, you will handle confidential information, which requires high standards of handling. Therefore, it is essential that you have a strong sense of security if you work with us. We are looking for candidates who: • Hold a Master of Laws (jur.kand.) or equivalent degree. • Act on their own initiative and take responsibility for high-quality results. • Have a systematic and meticulous working style. • Can understand and analyze complex issues. • Possess good communication skills, both verbally and in writing. • Collaborate effectively to achieve common goals. It is advantageous if you have: • Knowledge in data protection and digitalization law, administrative law, and public access and confidentiality. • Experience working within an administrative authority. • Knowledge of social insurance law. • Strong pedagogical abilities. • Expertise in the current department’s insurance area. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. Other Information A number of positions are available, permanent, full-time, with start dates to be agreed upon.
