Do you want to be part of the future energy transition and contribute to reducing emissions globally? We are looking for someone who wants to combine their knowledge in chemistry, energy, and sustainability with practical work in a testing environment – and who thrives in an international and inclusive setting where ideas and collaboration are at the forefront!
About the position
As a test engineer with our client, you will be part of a team of 15 dedicated specialists and experts working to measure and verify emissions from the machines produced by the company. Your mission will be to ensure that the machines meet regulatory requirements in various countries and to drive the development towards more sustainable fuels alongside your colleagues. Initially, the position will involve working approximately three days a week, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time in the future.
Responsibilities
As a test engineer, you will have a varied role with many practical elements. You will, among other things:
• Participate in testing machines in test beds and assist in setting up sensors and measuring equipment.
• Analyze emissions data, interpret results, and create graphs, plots, and reports in Excel and Matlab.
• Support the R&D team with specific measurement issues, such as new types of emissions like formaldehyde.
• Collaborate closely with colleagues in sales, delivery, and technology to ensure that emissions meet legal requirements.
• Contribute to an inclusive culture and participate in daily meetings to follow up on test plans and results.
You will work closely with experienced colleagues who are eager to share their knowledge, and there are excellent opportunities for both development and long-term career prospects within the organization.
We are looking for someone who
• Has an ongoing or recently completed education in chemistry, energy technology, sustainability, or a related field, preferably with a focus on physical chemistry or spectral analysis.
• Is in their final year of study and will be writing their thesis in the spring, or has just started working with a maximum of 2 years of experience.
• Is comfortable working practically in a testing environment and is not afraid to wear a lab coat and be in the workshop.
• Has very good skills in the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
• Speaks and understands Swedish, as it is used in daily communication within the team, and has good proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
Furthermore, great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability in the recruitment process. To fit this role, you need to be curious, meticulous, and enjoy working in an international environment. Additionally, you should be skilled at communicating with different types of people and enjoy working in a role with significant customer interaction. It is also important that you are humble and have no issues asking questions when needed to move forward.
