About this role
Are you a newly graduated (or experienced) software engineer looking to grow in a role that combines programming, testing, and advanced technology? Here you will work with high-performance image and data management systems, and help build a test environment that ensures performance and quality in advanced applications. You'll join an experienced team where you'll receive support and space to develop, while contributing to shaping the department's test infrastructure.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Test Developer, you will work in a high-tech environment with exciting challenges. You'll have the opportunity to combine C++ programming with test automation, and work closely with both software and hardware.
In the role, you will, among other things:
• Develop and maintain C++ tests for advanced systems with high performance requirements.
• Independently build a test environment and test framework from scratch.
• Create simulations and test doubles to enable testing without physical hardware.
• Design and automate regression suites.
• Ensure tests run efficiently via CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab).
• Analyze test results and contribute to improving performance and stability.
• Work in a Linux environment close to both development and testing.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:
• Have a completed engineering degree specializing in software.
• Have programmed in C++ during studies, projects, or thesis work.
• Have studied and/or worked with test tools or test frameworks (e.g., GoogleTest, Catch2, PyTest, JUnit).
• Are curious about hardware-near testing and want to understand how software and hardware interact.
• Thrive in a Linux environment and enjoy analyzing, testing, and solving problems.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish and English.
Meriting:
• Experience with CI/CD (e.g., GitLab) or version control in Git.
• Knowledge of simulation, mocking, or test doubles.
• Experience with camera technology, image analysis, or other embedded systems.
As a person, you are problem-solving, proactive, and responsible. Since you will independently build this from the ground up, we are looking for someone who has the ability to take initiative to move forward without necessarily having clear guidelines on how to do so. Curiosity and creative problem-solving are important factors in the team.
