As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you are a central part of a team responsible for electric forklift customizations. You will transform customer needs into technical specifications and develop innovative solutions. In this role, you will see the results of your work in reality, and collaborate daily closely with colleagues, production, and customers, in a high-paced environment focused on delivery. We are looking for someone with knowledge in mechanics and 3D drawing in CAD. Beyond technical competence, drive, commitment, and genuine interest in the field are valued. Therefore, communication skills, curiosity, and a sense of responsibility are central to succeeding in the role.
This is a hire-purchase arrangement with initial employment at Academic Work before a final recruitment takes place.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include designing and adapting mechanical solutions for electric forklifts, from concept to finished product, in a customer-near environment.
* Translate customer needs into technical specifications.
* Develop innovative solutions and see them take physical form.
* Be technically cohesive and coordinate development across different disciplines.
* Solve technical challenges in close collaboration with production and customers.
* Design modifications based on customer wishes.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO
- Have knowledge in mechanics and design through a civil or university engineering education or equivalent work experience.
- Have good knowledge of 3D CAD systems.
- Have good practical understanding, preferably a practical hobby interest or hobby project.
- Have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
