**About the Role**
You will join a dynamic department of approximately 30 materials and chemical engineers in a modern laboratory environment. The role is hands-on and involves independently conducting metallographic examinations of components manufactured using additive manufacturing. You will work closely with two experienced colleagues and utilize advanced equipment such as light optical microscopes and scanning electron microscopes for analysis. The work includes failure investigations, quality assurance for both in-house production and suppliers, as well as documentation in technical reports. The pace can be fast, and tasks vary from planned inspections to urgent investigations when something fails. Your contribution is crucial to ensuring the highest quality of components used in demanding industrial environments.
**We are looking for someone with…**
• A bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, chemistry with a focus on materials, or equivalent, where a master's degree is highly valued
• An interest in materials and construction materials
**Preferred Qualifications**
• Previous experience in the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written

They work with everything from gas turbines and power plants to sustainable energy systems such as wind power and hydrogen. The company is a spin-off and operates in over 90 countries. In Sweden, this company is particularly strong in power generation and industrial energy solutions, including in Finspång.
