About this role
Ovzon is at the forefront of satellite communication, developing ground terminals used in critical environments worldwide. The role of Electronics Engineer is for those who enjoy challenges, love technology, and want to work with electronics at a system level. You may be a recent graduate in engineering or have gathered some experience. Here, potential and ambition are more important than the number of years in the industry.
ABOUT THE ROLE: Ovzon develops satellite communication systems where the electronics must be robust, reliable, and meticulously designed down to the smallest detail. In the development team, engineers with high technical competence and great ambition work together. There are many specialists to learn from, while you are also expected to contribute your own ideas and drive your work forward. The environment is suitable for those who want to grow, are passionate about technology, and possess a curiosity that makes you a sharp and persistent problem solver. Initially, you will work alongside a senior electronics engineer, providing you with a solid foundation in the role.
RESPONSIBILITIES: As an Electronics Engineer at Ovzon, you will work at the intersection of development, integration, and verification of their ground terminals. The role is broad and requires both system understanding and practical engineering skills. You will focus on the overall functionality of the electronics and design solutions for how circuit boards, cabling, and modules should interact within the system. Your tasks will include:
• Developing and improving electronic solutions in the ground terminals
• Taking responsibility for electronic boards at the system level — interaction between modules, interfaces, and cabling
• Performing verification, measurements, and analysis of your own designs
• Writing simple test code and tools to evaluate functionality and performance
• Working in a lab environment to practically test, measure, troubleshoot, and develop
This is a job for you who truly enjoy "assembling, measuring, and understanding," while also wanting to work with advanced systems where electronics, RF, and embedded systems converge.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO:
• Have a master's degree in electrical engineering
• Have a strong technical interest and preferably your own hobby projects - we value this highly
• Can communicate fluently in both Swedish and English
It is advantageous if you have worked in a related field after your education. Personal qualities are important. You are analytical, meticulous, and curious about why things work the way they do. You collaborate well with others, take initiative, and thrive in an environment where everyone drives their work forward.
ABOUT THE EMPLOYMENT: This is a consulting assignment, which means you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition from both Ovzon and our side is that you will eventually be directly employed by Ovzon.
