About this role
Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. We are now looking for someone who wants to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Stockholm is thriving as the country's leading growth region. We strive for a labor market where everyone can find their place – where employers find the right skills and where people have the opportunity to enter or return to working life. We support the journey of Stockholm residents toward work or studies through labor market initiatives and adult education.
Welcome to us
Alfa is a unit within Jobbtorg Stockholm's area of operations for disabilities and mental health issues.
At Alfa, we support individuals with mental health challenges. Our service area encompasses all eleven districts of Stockholm, and the intervention is needs-assessed. The operations are primarily based from the office in Hammarby Sjöstad.
We seek individuals who want to support people towards employment or studies through a personalized and goal-oriented approach. As a job coach, you will work externally, in collaboration with employers and partners across Stockholm.
We are expanding and looking for four new job coaches/work specialists, pending necessary approvals.
We offer
To you, we offer:
- a meaningful role for those who want to make a real difference for our participants and see each participant's strengths and potential
- an outward-focused job where you actively seek out employers and collaborate with various actors
- engaged colleagues with high competence and a strong desire to support each other
- a creative work environment
- wellness benefits and access to offers in our wellness portal
- flexible hours
- the opportunity for vacation exchange, meaning five or six extra vacation days.
Your role
We meet our participants where they are, starting from the individual's own will and motivation. As a job coach, you will work according to the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) method, an evolution of Supported Employment (SE).
Your assignment is to support, motivate, and guide participants to find, obtain, and retain a job or studies with the aim of achieving self-sufficiency. You will assess and plan the work together with the participant. You are driven, creative, and deeply engaged in working with the target group. You will collaborate with the participant’s network and place special importance on good cooperation with psychiatric services.
The work involves contacting employers and matching participants to the right workplace. This means you, as a job coach, will accompany your participant to various parts of the city. You will also work on reaching out to and finding employers, as well as supporting both participants and employers as needed.
You will work independently while collaborating with colleagues within the organization and across various districts, as well as with external partners such as the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Public Employment Service, Region Stockholm, and employers.
You will travel daily within Stockholm to meet and support participants and employers.
