As a nurse at Jakobsberg Geriatrics, you will:
Work in pleasant wards where you can utilize and deepen your nursing skills and thus develop in your role as a nurse. You will work alongside a nursing assistant and in close collaboration with teams from other units. Your introduction will be individually tailored with opportunities for training/education in various procedures. You will encounter patients with a variety of diagnoses in both acute and stable care situations, handle various medical technical equipment, manage medications with different administration methods, administer blood transfusions, and perform various sample collections.
Full-time is 32.20 hours/week, working 74.74%. This means seven nights over three weeks on a fixed schedule, with extended time off. Double night shift compensation according to agreement. Probationary employment may be applied.
Job Responsibilities
The primary task is to plan and provide patient care together with the patient and your colleagues. You will work with a nursing assistant and in close collaboration with teams from other wards. On-call physicians are available for all wards, with a backup physician on-call from home. We use closed-system medication administration which promotes patient safety and work environment.
Qualifications
Requirements: Registered Nurse.
Meriting: Desirable with several years of experience in geriatrics/inpatient care. Specialized and/or advanced training in relevant areas for the patient group.
