We are now seeking someone who wants to work with us as an IT Technician, located in Umeå or Skellefteå. IT Department The primary task of the IT Department is to provide IT services to the entire Police Authority. The IT Department is a crucial part of crime prevention and law enforcement, and IT is one of the most important tools for improving police efficiency and work quality. The IT Department develops and modernizes police IT, and the agency is investing heavily in strengthening the department with new specialist expertise and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in police operations. IT – Delivery and Support Delivery and Support provides, maintains, and coordinates the technology used by the agency's employees. Delivery and Support provides and offers support for all technology used by core operations, such as computers, telephony, network equipment, and radio communication systems. Job Description As an IT Technician within Delivery and Support, you'll have the chance to work with the latest technology and face unique challenges that make each workday both exciting and educational. You'll work in a dynamic environment where you can support and implement solutions that directly impact society's safety and security. Your primary focus will be providing second-line on-site support to our end-users and working on technology installations for various assignments. More specifically, you'll work with user equipment like PCs and printers, video conferencing equipment, mobile phones, and the Rakel radio system. The position involves travel by car, requiring you to be comfortable in the field and quickly adapt to different situations and environments. These tasks may involve uncomfortable working positions. IT customer desk support and staffing will also be part of the role. Qualifications · High school or post-secondary education in IT or equivalent knowledge acquired otherwise, as assessed by the employer · At least 1 year of recent IT technician experience within the last 3 years · Good knowledge of IT hardware, such as PCs and printers · Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing · Class B driver's license with driving experience · Swedish citizenship Meritorious It is advantageous if you also have: · Experience working with case management systems · Experience with networks and servers · Experience with telephony, telephone exchange systems, mobile telephony · Experience with video conferencing equipment · Experience working as an on-site IT technician in a larger organization · Experience with IT equipment in vehicles · Experience with the Rakel radio system and associated peripheral equipment · Experience with customer interaction, e.g., customer service Personal Characteristics We seek someone service-oriented and confident, attentive and accommodating in their approach.
