The Data Center group is a team consisting of a solid core of IT technicians, system managers, and Technical Architects. We are responsible for the server solutions, virtualization, and surrounding systems of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service. As the organization expands significantly, we need to plan for an environment that meets both today’s and tomorrow’s demands.

TASKS
We are now seeking several new colleagues to strengthen our server team in storage and backup. We are looking for skilled and dedicated IT technicians who want to support and maintain our servers and surrounding support systems. As an IT technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that the server environment operates correctly and efficiently for our users. You will work closely with other team members and external partners to resolve technical issues and implement improvements in the system.

We are looking for you who have:
• A university degree preferably in computer science or information systems, or other education combined with experience deemed relevant by the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
• Experience with storage systems in large environments
• Experience in deep troubleshooting of software and hardware
• Documented knowledge in storage systems
• Good knowledge of VMware products
• Knowledge of file permissions in Microsoft environments
• General knowledge of IT security
• Ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English
It is advantageous if you have:
• Education in specific/limited IT infrastructure areas, e.g., product training applicable to the position
• Training in ITIL and PM3
• Worked with Microsoft server platforms
• Experience with security-related issues in storage and backup
• Experience in enterprise IT environments
• Experience with process-driven work (ITIL)
• Experience in producing technical documentation
• Experience in server environments in Linux
• Experience with object storage (S3 compatible)
• Knowledge of networking and communication technology
