The Swedish Armed Forces are seeking an IT Technician based in Boden.

About the Organization
FMTIS is a nationwide organization within the Swedish Armed Forces responsible for operations, maintenance, installations, and modifications of the Armed Forces' facilities, IT systems, and equipment. The organization is staffed with both military and civilian personnel. Placement will be at Implementation Unit North, with the workplace in Boden.
Primary Work Tasks
The work involves independently performing installation, configuration, proactive fault-correcting maintenance, incident management in the IT environment for the Armed Forces' network components, computers, servers, telephony, and user support in both open and classified IT environments. The work is varied and primarily performed in the Armed Forces' facilities in Boden and to some extent in other locations in Norrbotten, but work in other parts of the country may also occur.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
• Education in IT/computer science at a minimum high school level or equivalent knowledge that can be assessed by the employer
• Good computer skills, both hardware and software for server and client in Windows environment
• Ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
• The position requires good physical fitness
• Good experience working in Microsoft environments and TCP/IP networks
• B driver's license

MERITORIOUS
• Current and relevant professional experience with IT systems, IT equipment, and IT communication
• Experience with ITIL process work
• Experience in IT security work, e.g., information security
• Experience working in IT projects
• Experience with IP Telephony
• Experience with Server Operations
• IT certifications from Microsoft or Cisco
• Knowledge of cable laying/connection and documentation of telecommunications facilities

Additional Information
Employment Type: Permanent. The Swedish Armed Forces apply a six-month probationary period for those not currently employed by the agency.
