In the role of IT support technician, you will provide on-site IT support at the office as well as resolve IT-related issues via remote access, email, or chat. You will be responsible for orders and functionality concerning mobile phones, computers, printers, and peripheral equipment, in close collaboration with our operations function. The role also involves contact with various suppliers and management of applications and installation packages. Additionally, you will work with ordering user accounts and permissions as well as other security-related areas. As an IT support technician, you have an independent role where you drive your own tasks while closely collaborating with colleagues at the office in Stockholm and at the agency's office in Östersund. You will also build good relationships with external suppliers and partners. Other tasks occurring within the unit may also be included in the role of IT support technician. We are looking for someone with high social competence and a genuine interest in problem-solving. We expect you to have experience in Helpdesk, Service Desk, or similar roles. You are service-oriented towards customers and colleagues with the ability to be cooperative. You are solution-focused with great engagement and understanding of users' IT matters. As a person, you are social and enjoy communicating with different types of people. Who are we looking for? Requirements for the position: • Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent work experience deemed relevant by the employer. • Current experience and at least 6 years of experience working with technical support. • Current experience providing user support for iPhone mobile phones. • Current experience working with computers, hardware, and software for PCs on Windows. • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You have a holistic perspective and a good demeanor. • Current experience working with administration of Microsoft Exchange and other Microsoft applications. • Current experience with administration through Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). • Current experience and familiarity with remote troubleshooting. • Current experience working in a case management system. • Extensive experience with digital communication via Teams. • Current experience managing mobile phones through MDM (Ivanti). • Experience in supplier follow-up at operational and tactical levels for agreements in the area, such as telephony agreements. • Experience in the administration of and knowledge about simpler switchboard solutions (for example, TouchPoint). Significant emphasis is placed on: • Experience working within a government agency. • Experience with Efecte/Matrix 42 as a case management system. • Experience providing support and administering within SharePoint. • Participation/work with ITIL, such as Service Request, Incident, or Change. • Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Emphasis is placed on: • Knowledge of information security and IT security. • Experience with antivirus and networks. What does the unit do? The unit is responsible for ensuring that the agency has a secure and accessible IT operational environment, as well as for effective support, management, and modern development of IT systems. The unit is also responsible for a coordinated and cost-effective process for purchasing IT-related equipment, licenses, and consulting services. The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date is January 15, 2026, or as soon as agreed upon. As an employee at the Public Health Agency of Sweden, you may be subject to military placement. Certain positions are classified where Swedish citizenship may be a requirement.
