Work Tasks As an IT Specialist, you will work in a team with colleagues who operate and manage healthcare IT systems. Your primary tasks will include application operation at the server level, ongoing maintenance, system configuration, and problem analysis. You will also handle requirement management, testing, and IT-related troubleshooting/incident management at the server and database level, as well as file systems. You will participate in major digitalization projects involving new working methods and technologies. About the Workplace The Digitalization Support Management is Region Västmanland's internal IT organization, tasked with delivering digital technology services and managing care and operational systems for the region's various activities. The Electronic Journal unit, which manages several healthcare IT systems, is where this position is located. Their mission is to provide the best possible IT support to healthcare. We look for expertise in areas such as Microsoft SQL Server, Linux, and OpenShift. Our infrastructure primarily consists of Microsoft products. To be considered for the position, you also need competence in automation, installation, operation, and experience with complex IT operation of enterprise systems with high service levels (SLA). You should have broad knowledge of application operation at the server level, IT development, integration development, and experience with container solutions. Experience with IT systems and digitalization in healthcare, as well as integration and application issues, is an advantage. We are looking for someone with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work and drive it forward. You are communicative and contribute to good collaboration with others. You work proactively to find good solutions for the organization. As you will work in a development-intensive area, we seek someone with a positive attitude towards development, who is initiative-taking and keeps up-to-date with field developments.
