IT Coordinator at ISSR The International School of the Stockholm Region (ISSR) is a publicly funded international school that primarily serves the educational needs of the transient and/or international community in Stockholm. The school offers the International Baccalaureate’s curricula. The Primary Years Programme (PYP) is available for students aged 5-11, the Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students aged 11-16, and the Diploma Programme (DP) for students aged 16-19. The language of instruction at the school is English for all subjects. At ISSR, students can receive an internationally recognized education in English from ages 5 to 19 in one location in the center of Stockholm. The teachers at ISSR are qualified and experienced educators. Teachers and staff participate in a wide range of professional development resources and activities offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB). ISSR also offers Fritids (After School Care) after school hours. As an IT Coordinator, you will be responsible, in consultation with the school’s educators, management, and other staff, for the overall IT development and IT environment of the school. You will identify areas for development and work to find improvements and propose new ideas. You will be responsible for the school’s needs analysis, ordering, and rollout during IT procurements, installations, and reinstallations, as well as for the implementation of new systems. You will stay updated on personal data issues, information security, regulations, policies, and guidelines. You will communicate, collaborate, and support students, staff, and school management on IT matters and assist the organization with various user-related issues, such as support cases, account and access management, service card management, password changes, and login issues. You will also be the primary contact person for suppliers and the ICT unit in IT-related matters. To thrive in this role, it is important that you can work independently while enjoying and being accustomed to collaborating with others. We also expect you to handle digital systems in a methodical, competent, and independent manner. As a person, you are proactive and driven in development work while remaining open to different perspectives. You communicate easily in various contexts, both verbally and in writing, and have a good ability to explain things simply. You possess strong project management skills, are structured and solution-oriented, and have the ability to prioritize and drive your projects forward and to completion. You take the initiative and structure tasks through planning and prioritization while meeting deadlines. You can manage varying tasks with periods of high workload and pace. Responsibilities in these areas include, among others: - Supporting in administrative systems - In dialogue with the school’s management team, managing internal and external communication, which includes practical information and collaborations - Together with the city’s digital network, inventorying the current situation and analyzing needs to provide support in the development of processes - Preparing and overseeing hardware, testing platforms, accessories, and software during the academic year’s digital testing occasions - Preparing and, when applicable, technically overseeing events within the organization such as lectures, concerts, fairs, and student arrangements for internal and external actors - Ordering hardware and software and assisting with access rights, being the contact person within IT, and collaborating with central system management Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: - Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written - Good technical competence that can be substantiated through relevant post-secondary education or relevant previous work experience - Good knowledge of and understanding of the educational activities and their needs - Strong competence in managing websites and cloud services It is advantageous if you have: - Experience from previous work in the City of Stockholm - Experience in the school’s digital environment As a person, we prefer that you are driven, structured, and can work both independently and in a team. You are solution-oriented without taking shortcuts. You communicate clearly and have a good command of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Personal qualities will be given significant weight. The position is a temporary contract for a parental leave replacement and may be extended.
