We are now seeking an engaged IT Security Analyst with SOC experience who thrives in a developmental role. The Government Offices Digitalization Department has one of the most important missions in the country, supporting the government in governing Sweden and realizing its policy. We are approximately 220 employees responsible for IT support for the Government Offices and 100 foreign missions, including all Swedish embassies and the EU representation in Brussels, covering around 6,400 users worldwide. As an IT Security Analyst, you will work to detect, analyze, and prevent intrusions in critical IT systems with global reach. You will be a key person in further developing our Security Operations Center (SOC) activities. The work requires you to be curious, structured, and have an eye for detail. Your primary task will involve analyzing IT-related security events using various tools (including SIEM) and contributing to improvements and automation of detection patterns and data collection. You will also participate in IT security incident management and collaborate with other agencies. It is important that you stay updated on current threat landscapes and the latest technologies. The Government Offices offer excellent opportunities for continuous further education, and the workplace is located in central Stockholm with good communications. Your Background For this role, we are seeking someone who has: • High school diploma with documented interest in IT security or higher education from vocational college or university with IT security courses • Experience working within SOC (Security Operations Center) • Experience with log analysis and security monitoring • Relevant knowledge of network architecture (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls) • Relevant knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows and/or Linux) • Relevant knowledge of security technologies (e.g., PKI, encryption, IT infrastructure security) • Good Swedish and English skills, both verbal and written It is meritorious if you have: • Certification in IT security (e.g., CISSP, GSOC, Ethical Hacker, Comptia Security+) • Documentation experience • Knowledge of scripting languages • Threat Hunting experience • Experience with hybrid environments Your Characteristics The Government Offices employee criteria are holistic approach, development, and results. We place great importance on your personal qualities. Additional Information We are seeking one or more IT Security Analysts. The position begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date as soon as possible. On-call work outside regular working hours may occur. The position is placed in a security class, and a security review with register check will be conducted before an employment decision is made.
