Do you want to be part of developing our IT operations and digitalization? We are now looking for an experienced and development-oriented IT Manager for our IT unit.
As IT Manager, you will play an important and strategic role within the agency, responsible for leading, developing, and ensuring a robust and operationally adapted IT environment. You will also serve as the unit manager with responsibilities for operations, personnel, and budget. The unit is also responsible for information security.
The unit is part of the Department for Operational Support and Legal Affairs. This department also includes the HR unit, Finance and Operations Management, the Legal Unit, the Security and Facilities Management Unit, and the Secretariat for the School Authority's Appeals Board.
The IT Manager reports to the department head and is part of the department's management team.
**Job Responsibilities and Areas of Responsibility**
As IT Manager, you will work with your team to drive digitalization issues, development, and management so that our IT support meets the needs of the operations in a secure, efficient, and future-proof manner. You will work strategically but also possess the knowledge and ability to drive operations on a practical level.
You will build a stable, cost-effective IT function with clear governance of IT development and secure system management. The agency has agreements with an external service provider that manages and operates the agency's applications, which requires a competent procurement organization. The unit is also responsible for coordinating and driving information security issues within the agency.
**Qualifications**
You have:
- A university degree that the agency considers relevant to the role, or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience deemed comparable by the School Inspectorate
- Several years of experience as an IT Manager within public administration or a corresponding role deemed equivalent by the School Inspectorate
- Several years of experience as a manager with operational, personnel, and budget responsibilities
- Current knowledge and experience in IT and information security
- Experience in a procurement role and requirement specification towards external suppliers
- Excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish.
It is advantageous to have:
- Experience in project management within the IT field
- Experience in change management
- Work experience from a government agency
- Experience in procurement according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU).

**Position**
The position is a permanent employment. The School Inspectorate applies a six-month probationary period. The scope is full-time. Start date is according to agreement.
