IF Metall is now recruiting a Data Protection Officer for a central and dynamic role where you will become part of our data protection team. You will have the opportunity to work with everything from strategies, knowledge dissemination and training to follow-up that concerns the entire organization's privacy and information management. We are looking for someone who has an interest in making complex rules simple and practical to follow in daily work.
The position is full-time and a permanent employment located at the union headquarters near Hötorget in central Stockholm. Here you will work in modern and adapted premises with committed colleagues. There are also good opportunities for remote work. We look forward to your application!
About the Position
As Data Protection Officer, you will have a central role in developing and coordinating the federation's activities to meet the requirements of the EU Data Protection Regulation and complementary privacy protection legislation. Your work is linked to the entire organization to build effective data protection work, which occurs in collaboration with data protection officers, privacy representatives, data protection coordinators, operational managers, and employees. The collaboration also includes information security managers and information administrators.
Work tasks include, among others:
- Handling data subjects' rights
- Preparing data protection matters by conducting investigations and gathering operational needs
- Managing personal data incidents
- Conducting internal training and conferences on data protection issues
- Performing impact assessments
- Working with measures related to the privacy representative's control plan and reports
- Updating privacy policies based on mapping different work processes
- Establishing data processing agreements and mutual arrangements
Additional Information:
Start date according to agreement, salary and employment terms are according to the white-collar workers' collective agreement.
The position includes travel, primarily nationally to our departments, as well as to conferences and training relevant to the Data Protection Officer role.

Who Are You?
We are seeking someone with an interest in and desire to develop work with the data protection regulation. Experience with IF Metall or work within another union organization is meritorious, as is experience working in an idea-driven or member-driven organization.
You have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. You share the labor movement's values and want to make a difference. To succeed in the role, you should be results-oriented and attentive to the support needs in different parts of the organization. We are looking for someone with the ability to create good relationships and who wants to help others grow by acting professionally with pedagogical skills and a structured approach.
