How exciting that you want to work as a Personal Assistant with us at JAG!
Working as a personal assistant requires personal maturity, sensitivity, and respect for another person's way of living their life.
JAG's assistance users have different preferences for their assistants, so we do not set specific requirements for education or experience. Instead, we want to know who YOU are and what you believe you can contribute. In your application, you will have the opportunity to tell us about yourself and answer various questions to help us match you with the right assignment.
About the recruitment process: Your application will be visible to our assistance users and their personal work managers. If you are selected, the work manager will contact you for an interview. Before you start working, you will receive a paid introduction to help you feel comfortable in your role.
As part of our recruitment process, we always conduct a background check before employment. If you are offered a position with a minor client, you will also need to provide a criminal record extract from the Police Authority. You can apply for this yourself at: Police Authority (polisen.se). It is important that you choose the criminal record extract for "Work with children with disabilities".
About JAG as an employer: JAG Personal Assistance was instrumental in driving the assistance reform through a pilot project that started as early as 1992 and currently has over 4,000 employed personal assistants. We have a collective bargaining agreement with Kommunal and offer all employees paid introduction, further training, and wellness contributions. As an employee at JAG, you make a difference every day. Learn more about us at JAG.SE
We are Sweden's largest private assistance provider, operating on a non-profit basis. Our assistance is specifically designed for people with multiple significant disabilities, with intellectual ability being one of them. The organization has a strong ideological foundation rooted in the equal value of all people. The name JAG was chosen to symbolize each assistance user's right to be the protagonist in their own life, regardless of disability. We operate throughout Sweden and have sister companies in Norway and Finland.
