Here you can read more about what it is like to work at Malmö University: Work with us We are looking for An International Officer with a focus on fee-paying students Content and Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced International Officer with knowledge of international student affairs within universities. The main responsibilities of the officer include administering and providing services to fee-paying students. This work involves managing tuition fees, scholarships, residence permits, insurance, orientation programs, etc. The position entails close contact with prospective and admitted international students and responsibility for the smooth processing of individual student cases. The officer will be the university's contact person for the Swedish Migration Agency and the Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency for this target group. The role includes close collaboration with these and other authorities, follow-up work, and the development of support services for fee-paying students. Qualifications You should have completed higher education and possess excellent skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You should also have experience in qualified administration within the public sector. It is advantageous if you have experience in international student administration at a Swedish higher education institution or in processing residence permit cases at the Migration Agency. Other experience related to residence permit issues, particularly for studies, or work at a foreign authority in the areas of visas and residence permits is also meritorious. You should be able to work independently, take initiative, and manage a work situation where many different tasks need to be solved simultaneously or spontaneously. As a person, you are well-organized with a good ability to analyze, process, and convey complex information clearly to colleagues, students, and other authorities. You are comfortable presenting in both English and Swedish. You are meticulous and committed to working according to the organization's established goals. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. Workplace The Student Center is part of Malmö University’s shared operational support, where the International Office is one of four units. The International Office has a coordinating responsibility for the university's internationalization efforts. The unit's main tasks include supporting the mobility of incoming and outgoing students for studies and internships, mentorship programs and other activities at home, marketing and recruitment of international students, collaboration agreements, staff mobility, faculty support for international educational cooperation, and support to university management in strategic matters regarding internationalization.
