We are seeking an Interim Manager for the Permitting Consultation Unit North & South, starting in January 2026. You will have the opportunity to lead a specialist-heavy unit while playing a central role in a larger organization that focuses on planning, permitting, and the development of future energy systems. About the Role As the interim manager, you will lead the unit that staffs larger overhead line projects with sub-project managers for permitting and consultation issues. The unit's expertise is crucial for enabling effective environmental assessments, early dialogues, and successful concession processes. You will be a key person in maintaining the operations during a transition period and will be part of the management team alongside other experienced managers. The unit consists of approximately twelve qualified employees, and the section encompasses around 70 employees and about thirty consultants in total. Your Responsibilities - Lead, plan, and follow up on the unit's work and results - Ensure that strategies and goals are translated into concrete plans and implementation - Maintain budget, staffing plans, and resource frameworks - Ensure compliance with governing documents, laws, and regulations - Conduct development discussions and salary-setting conversations - Hold full responsibility for the work environment and rehabilitation - Promote a good physical and psychosocial work environment - Stay updated on developments in the permitting and environmental field - Ensure correct information classification and information management Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural sciences, law, surveying, urban planning, or a related field - At least 5 years of experience as a manager with full personnel responsibility - Documented experience in change management, efficiency improvements, or business development - Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written - At least 3 years of experience as a manager or project leader in the infrastructure or energy sector Preferred Qualifications - At least 3 years of experience in concession and/or permitting processes within planning or construction - Experience working with transmission networks or regional systems We Offer You - A strategic leadership role in an organization of great significance to Sweden's energy supply - The opportunity to influence and shape an organization in constant development - Engaged and highly competent colleagues - A role with both operational and strategic content - Good prospects for extending the assignment Other Information Assignment Period: January 12, 2026 – December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension (1+1 year) Scope: 100% Location: Stockholm Travel: 1–4 days per month Security Clearance: Security clearance with background check is required Application Does this assignment sound interesting?
