Competence Level 3 | Start January 2026 | Duration 8–12 months (+ possibility of extension) We are currently seeking an experienced and decisive Interim Manager for a central permitting and consultation operation within the energy and infrastructure sector. The assignment involves leading the Permitting & Consultation unit (North & South) during a phase where many strategically important projects are running concurrently. **About the Assignment** You will step in as the manager of a unit that staffs larger management and infrastructure projects with sub-project managers focused on environmental and permitting processes. The team drives the work on environmental assessments in early stages, prepares documentation for concession applications, and maintains dialogue with authorities, landowners, and other key stakeholders. The unit consists of approximately twelve employees. You will report to the section manager for Permitting & Land Access and be part of a management team alongside five other unit managers. The section comprises around 70 employees and about thirty consultants. This role is suited for someone who thrives in a matrix organization, enjoys operational leadership, and can take significant responsibility in complex, critical societal projects. **Your Main Responsibilities** - Lead, plan, and follow up on the unit's operations and report results. - Translate strategy, goals, and governance into concrete plans and implementation within the unit. - Ensure staffing and drive progress on initiatives that are critical to the organization's mission. - Maintain budget, adhere to frameworks for personnel and consultants, and ensure compliance with governing documents. - Conduct performance reviews, salary-setting discussions, and take responsibility for workplace environment and rehabilitation. - Contribute to effective working methods, good governance, quality-assured processes, and a holistic perspective. - Create a safe, sustainable, and coaching leadership culture where employees can grow. **Expectations for You as a Consultant** You are expected to contribute to: - A good and safe working environment. - Progress in strategically important issues. - Effective working methods and structured governance. - Coaching, courageous, and sustainable leadership. - Development of the collective capability within the unit and section. **Requirements Profile (Competence Level 3)** You should have: - A university degree in environmental science, law, natural sciences, surveying, urban planning, or equivalent. - At least 5 years of experience as a manager with full personnel responsibility (budget, governing documents, workplace environment, salary setting, performance reviews). - Documented experience in efficiency improvements, organizational development, and/or change management. - Excellent ability to express yourself in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing. - At least 3 years of experience as a manager or project leader in the infrastructure or energy sector. **Additional Requirements** - Experience with concession and permitting processes (minimum 3 years). - Experience with transmission networks or regional networks (minimum 3 years).
