Interim Infrastructure Manager - Tierp

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Interim Infrastructure Chief for a large municipal IT organization responsible for operations, support, infrastructure, and security for approximately 4,000 users. The organization is in an intensive change phase where multiple IT environments are being consolidated into a common operational environment. In connection with this, a temporary leader is needed who can ensure stability, continuity, and progress in the infrastructure unit. The purpose of the assignment is to temporarily replace the IT Infrastructure and Security Unit Manager and ensure secure management of both personnel, operations, and ongoing development initiatives. Scope and Responsibilities The assignment initially runs for 3 months with the possibility of monthly extension. The role involves: • Leading the infrastructure unit (approx. 18 employees) with responsibility for operations, monitoring, and IT security. • Ensuring stable and secure IT operations, including servers, networks, backup, and storage. • Prioritizing and following up on issues and reporting status to management. • Driving standardization and improvement work in operations and security. • Contributing to strategic issues and supporting ongoing initiatives such as SOC procurement, redundant network solutions, EDR/SIEM, and server environment consolidation. Scope and Location • Scope: Full-time • Start: As soon as possible, no later than 2025-12-01 • Duration: 3 months with possibility to extend contract monthly • Location: Tierp, with some possibility of remote work Competence and Experience Requirements • At least 5 years of experience as a manager/leader in IT infrastructure or operations organization in public sector or other complex operations with high availability and security requirements. • Experience with personnel and budget responsibility. • Experience with change management in IT operations and technical development. • Understanding of information and cybersecurity (ISO 27001, NIS2, MSBFS 2018:8 or similar). • Good communication skills – both technically and business-oriented. • Excellent Swedish language skills, both verbal and written. • Competence should be evident in attached CV. Meritorious • Experience with municipal collaboration or work with multiple principals. • Experience with procurement and vendor management. • Technical understanding of Microsoft environments (AD, M365, Azure). • Experience with ITIL and PM3-based working methods.
