Liseberg AB operates Liseberg Amusement Park, which was inaugurated during the Jubilee Exhibition in Gothenburg in 1923. Adjacent to the park, the Jubilee Project is underway, driven by the subsidiary AB Liseberg Skår 40:17, which includes Liseberg Grand Curiosa Hotel (opened in 2023) and Oceana Water World (to be completed in 2026). Liseberg has approximately 550 permanent employees, 3,000 seasonal employees, 3 million visitors per year, and an annual turnover of around 1.6 billion SEK.
Liseberg's Sustainability Department works strategically and operationally to integrate sustainability across the entire organization, focusing on environmental, social, and economic aspects. The department leads and coordinates efforts to identify material sustainability issues, set goals, and track results. Special initiatives are undertaken to reduce climate impact, promote biodiversity, and develop circular solutions, such as enhancing food and beverage offerings and improving energy efficiency.
Sustainability work also encompasses social inclusion, work environment, and responsible engagement with guests, employees, and suppliers. The department ensures Liseberg complies with legal requirements and reports according to current regulations, with an emphasis on environmental legislation. Through education and collaboration with various stakeholders, the Sustainability Department drives development forward and inspires sustainable choices. The goal is for Liseberg to be a global leader in sustainable amusement park operations and contribute positively to Gothenburg's development.
In the role of Interim Sustainability Manager, the focus will be on maintaining structure, coordinating efforts, ensuring continuity in sustainability work, and promoting a culture where all employees feel responsible for their part in the organization's sustainability efforts. You will not have personnel management responsibilities but will serve as support to the two environmental specialists who comprise the regular staffing of the unit. Your tasks will include:
• Coordinating and managing Liseberg's sustainability work in accordance with current strategy, governing documents, and legislation
• Ensuring sustainability work is well-anchored in the organization and conducted systematically and in line with set goals
• Following up on sustainability data and reporting
• Monitoring relevant legal requirements and ensuring sustainability governing documents are current and communicated
• Serving as the contact person for sustainability issues both internally and externally, including agency matters
• Informing management and relevant functions about the status of sustainability work
• Participating in relevant internal and external meetings and working groups to support coordination and compliance
This is a consulting assignment where you will be employed by StudentConsulting and work as a consultant at Liseberg. The position is 80% and planned to start immediately or no later than January 12, 2026. The assignment duration extends until May 31, 2026.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
To succeed in the role, we seek someone with:
• Completed relevant college or university degree, preferably with a focus on sustainability or environmental science
• At least three years of relevant experience in strategic, tactical, and operational sustainability work, with documented good results
• At least three years of relevant leadership experience
