About the Position
We are seeking a Part-Time Interim Sustainability Manager who will be responsible for coordinating and managing Liseberg's sustainability work in accordance with current strategy, governing documents, and legislation. The Interim Sustainability Manager role is advisory and supportive. The assignment includes ensuring that sustainability work is well-anchored in the organization and conducted in a structured manner aligned with established goals. The Interim Sustainability Manager will follow up on sustainability data and reporting. You will monitor relevant legal requirements and ensure that sustainability-related governing documents are current and communicated.
As Interim Sustainability Manager, you will be the contact person for sustainability issues both internally and externally, including administrative matters. You will inform management and relevant functions about the status of sustainability work. The role requires good collaboration skills, diplomatic competence, and experience working cross-functionally. The Interim Sustainability Manager will participate in relevant internal and external meetings and working groups to support coordination and compliance. The focus is on maintaining structure, coordinating efforts, ensuring continuity in sustainability work, and promoting a culture where all employees feel responsible for their part in the organization's sustainability efforts.
The role does not include personnel management but will serve as support to the two environmental specialists who comprise the regular staffing of the unit.
Assignment Period and Scope
The Interim Sustainability Manager position is a consulting assignment at 80% of a full-time position, with commencement as soon as possible but no later than 2026-01-12. The assignment is expected to continue through 2026-05-31.
Work will be performed on-site at Liseberg's facilities, with adaptability to participate in external meetings outside of Liseberg.
Position Requirements:
• Completed relevant college or university degree, preferably with a focus on sustainability or environmental science.
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience in strategic, tactical, and operational sustainability work, with documented good results.
• At least three (3) years of relevant leadership experience.
The above requirements must be clearly evident in your CV, with time periods specified in years and months (YY-MM) and verifiable through at least one approved and relevant reference assignment.
Liseberg AB is one of the municipal companies within the City of Gothenburg. Liseberg AB operates the Liseberg amusement park, which was inaugurated during the Jubilee Exhibition in Gothenburg in 1923. Adjacent to the amusement park, the Jubilee Project is ongoing, conducted by Liseberg AB's subsidiary "AB Liseberg Skår 40:17". The Jubilee Project includes Liseberg Grand Curiosa Hotel, which opened in 2023, and Oceana Water World, to be completed in 2026. Liseberg employs over 550 permanent staff and approximately 3,000 seasonal employees. Liseberg has around 3 million visitors annually and generates approximately 1.6 billion kronor in revenue.
