About this role

As an interim head of administration and school leader, you will be a key person in the client's continued development. You will have broad management responsibilities, significant opportunities to influence, and a central role in shaping the direction of the educational activities in the coming years. About the assignment We are seeking an interim head of administration for the Child and Education Administration, also serving as school leader, for a municipal client in Gnesta. The assignment is full-time and is expected to start as soon as possible, preferably in December. The assignment period extends until June 30, 2026, with the possibility of extension. The work will primarily take place on-site, with some flexibility possible by agreement. The position is security classified, so a security clearance will be conducted. Your responsibilities As interim head of administration and school leader, you will be responsible for leading and developing the Child and Education Administration with a focus on quality, goal fulfillment, and creating good conditions for children and students. You will work based on the board's goals, future plans, and the municipality's values DRAG (Participation, Respect, and Responsibility in the municipality). Furthermore, you will: • Lead, manage, and develop operations within preschool, school, youth centers, cultural schools, food services, and administrative offices/staff. • Ensure high goal fulfillment and knowledge development in accordance with national and municipal goals. • Drive strategic development processes and work towards a balanced budget. • Be a clear and development-oriented leader for managers and employees. • Collaborate closely with politicians, municipal management, and other administrations, particularly the Social Administration and Region Sörmland. • Participate in the municipality's management group and contribute to the development of the municipality as an organization and client. Your qualifications • Academic education relevant to the position/assignment. • Previous experience working in administrative management closely with politics. • Well-versed in working with governing documents, their implementation, and experienced in economic and quality work in a politically governed organization. • Several years of experience as a manager and leader within the education sector, with a good understanding of the complexities of the assignment and leading municipal operations.
