We are now looking for an interim manager for the property management unit at a public housing company with approximately 350 employees – an organization that provides homes, builds and manages properties, and contributes to safe and attractive neighborhoods in Stockholm.
**The Assignment**
As the interim manager, you will play a central role in the property department, responsible for ensuring high quality in management and first-class service to tenants. You will lead an organization of about 140 employees, including ten property managers and two team leaders, and will be part of the property department's management team.
You will combine strategic and operational leadership – with the ability to translate goals and visions into concrete actions that create sustainable results. The assignment includes driving operational development, streamlining processes, and contributing to a culture characterized by service, responsibility, and long-term customer benefits.
An important part of the assignment is to conduct a structured review of the role and its organizational context, in order to create a decision basis for a future and sustainable long-term structure.
**Your Main Responsibilities**
- Lead and develop the property management unit – responsible for finance, operations, personnel, and results.
- Ensure quality, work environment, safety, and environmental work within the unit.
- Drive improvement work, goal management, and maintenance planning to achieve operational goals.
- Be responsible for ordering and monitoring contractors and maintenance projects.
- Ensure compliance with laws, agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
- Contribute to social sustainability, security, and good relationships with tenants.
- Lead analysis and development work for the future property management function, including responsibilities, authority, and organizational interfaces.
**We Are Looking for You Who**
- Has a relevant higher education in the property sector or equivalent experience.
- Has at least ten years of experience as a manager in property management, preferably in larger organizations.
- Has good knowledge of property economics, construction technology, rental, and property law.
- Has documented experience in strategic management, organizational change, and management team work.
- Has experience in construction law, procurement according to LOU, and negotiations.
- Is a communicative and relationship-building leader who inspires engagement and results.
- Has worked on issues related to social sustainability, security, and tenant dialogues.
- Is fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Holds a valid B-driver's license.
**Assignment Scope**
Scope: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Assignment period: December 1, 2025 – December 31, 2026
Location: Stockholm
Option for extension: Yes, three months
