The Swedish School of Sport and Health Sciences (GIH) is Sweden's leading knowledge center for sports, performance development, physical activity, and health. We conduct high-quality and socially relevant research in sports science, focusing on human movement. We educate teachers in physical education and health, as well as coaches, health scientists, sport managers, sports scientists, and researchers. At GIH, 160 employees and 1,400 students work and study. The college is located in central Stockholm, near Stockholm Stadium and a large sports and outdoor area.
Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a structured and committed department secretary who wants to contribute administrative support at the department level for a temporary position. The work primarily involves study, education, and program administration.

At the Department of Movement, Culture, and Society (RKS), the subject areas include Pedagogy, Subject Didactics, and Management - focused on sports and health. The department is responsible for several teacher training programs, Bachelor's programs in Sport Management and Health Management, and several independent courses. RKS is led by a head of department and three deputy heads, and the educational programs are coordinated by a total of four study directors and numerous course managers/examiners. We currently have about fifty employees, including three department secretaries. As a department secretary at RKS, you will be directly placed under the head of department.
Primary Job Duties:
• Handling student cases in the case management system Jira, including re-examinations, registrations, eligibility reviews, study breaks, and resumption of studies.
• Managing educational matters in the study documentation system Ladok, including result recordings, result follow-ups, and creating activity occasions.
• Course discontinuation, in collaboration with study directors and course managers.
• Program administration for KPU 60, KPU 90, and summer courses.
• Course logistics in the Canvas learning platform, including student placement.
• Meeting logistics for major meetings.
• Logistics for program completion events.
• Other duties within the scope of the position.
Eligibility Requirements:
Eligible for employment is someone who has:
• Completed academic education equivalent to at least a bachelor's degree, as deemed relevant by the employer.
• Computer software proficiency and experience in system administration.
• Excellent ability to express oneself in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.

Duration/Working Hours:
The position is a full-time, time-limited employment expected to last approximately 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Start date in January 2025 or by agreement.
