The Department of Computer Science, LTH, is seeking 2-3 departmental teaching assistants.
Job Responsibilities
As a teaching assistant, your tasks may vary, and the work should provide insight into the academic world of the faculty where you are studying.
Your role is primarily to support teachers in their daily tasks, and you will become part of the teaching team in the department. You will help with teaching courses at the department and assist course leaders with related tasks such as serving as a lab supervisor, assessing assignments, grading exams, on-call duties, course development, and other tasks depending on current needs.
As a departmental teaching assistant, you will have greater responsibility and be more independent than lab assistants. Working hours are flexible and by agreement, but we expect you to have space in your studies for more than occasional shifts. The position is likely best suited for those in the latter half of their education.
Job Tasks Include:
- Participating in teaching, laboratory work, exercises, and examination
- Contributing to course development
Qualifications
Eligible for employment as a teaching assistant are those admitted to education at the undergraduate or advanced level at the faculty (or related subject for joint departments). The degree must not have been completed.
Requirements for the Position:
- At least three completed courses in the computer science curriculum, with grades higher than three in all courses
- Strong knowledge of Python and Java
- Excellent Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written
- Outgoing, easy to connect with people, and able to explain things simply
- Good collaborative abilities
- Ability to work independently and systematically
- Previous teaching experience, such as a computer science teaching assistant, hourly exercise assistant, or other teaching position
Merits for the Position:
- Broad range of completed computer science courses
- Completed pedagogical course for exercise leaders or other pedagogical training
Consideration will be given to how the applicant's experience and competence are assessed to complement and strengthen the department's operations.

Additional Information
The position is time-limited for the period 2026-01-19 - 2026-06-07 or by agreement, with a scope of 25-30% as agreed.
The employment must not negatively impact the teaching assistant's studies and cannot be combined with other positions.
