The Civil Defense Agency has two clear roles: we are the leading, directing, and coordinating agency in civil defense, and we are the sector-responsible agency for emergency services and protection of the civilian population. MSB now needs an e-commerce and procurement coordinator.
Your Responsibilities and Tasks
- Coordinate and manage e-commerce work within MSB's procurement and purchasing processes.
- Develop statistics and monitor the agency's e-commerce. Manage e-orders including deviations, create order paths in the e-commerce system, and maintain the e-commerce system.
- Conduct training on the e-commerce process and system support.
- Other tasks include operational procurement of goods and services based on procurement legislation. Procurement will be through direct procurement, renewed competitive bidding, and call-offs from framework agreements. Document release, contract follow-up. You will be part of a team.
Your Knowledge and Competencies
We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in technology/IT, procurement, economics, logistics, or another relevant field, with at least two years of experience in public e-commerce/procurement or at least three years of practical experience in public e-commerce/procurement or equivalent experience.
It is meritorious if you have experience:
- Working with e-commerce/procurement tools available in the market
- Developing e-commerce solutions and procurement processes

About the Position
We offer a full-time, permanent position that begins with a probationary period.
Your duty station will be Karlstad, and travel is required in the position.
Most of our positions involve placement in a security class. Generally, Swedish citizenship is required. Placement in a security class will involve a security review with register control before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Most MSB employees are wartime-placed.
About Us
The Procurement Unit is a central function at MSB that both supports and controls the entire agency's procurement process. The unit's task is to manage, develop, maintain, and follow up MSB's work with procurement and contract management. This includes directing and driving the agency's procurement work and developing and maintaining associated system support, processes, routines, and methods for contract and supplier follow-up.
The Procurement Unit is divided into teams and is led by the agency's procurement manager.
