Do you have experience in strategic and operational purchasing within the manufacturing industry – preferably with a focus on electronics or technical components? Then you could be the Buyer we are looking for to support a client located in Northern Gothenburg / Kungälv.
About the role You will be responsible for ensuring access to materials and components according to production plans and driving the purchasing process from needs analysis to delivery. The role involves close collaboration with production, planning, and suppliers, where your work directly impacts delivery and profitability. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring material and product levels based on established manufacturing plans.
- Managing parameter settings in the MPS system for efficient material planning.
- Setting goals and activities for the purchasing area, monitoring results, driving improvements, and cost-saving projects.
- Actively contributing to the company's Lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Developing and managing relationships with suppliers – both existing and new.
- Negotiating contracts and prices to optimize costs, quality, and delivery reliability.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
Your experience We are looking for someone with several years of experience in purchasing within the manufacturing industry or similar roles. You have relevant education and a good understanding of material flows and MPS/ERP systems. You are fluent in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, and possess a B driver's license. Experience in purchasing technical products, preferably electronics, and working within an international supply chain is an advantage.
Your personality You are analytical, structured, and enjoy a role where you can combine operational responsibility with strategic thinking. You act independently, are communicative, and find it easy to collaborate and enjoy negotiating.
