Do you have experience in procurement and a leadership position and want to make a difference? We are now seeking an engaged Purchasing Manager to lead our team at Perstorp in Stenungsund and continue to develop our purchasing function.
As Purchasing Manager with us, you will play a central role in ensuring that our purchasing processes not only meet but exceed market demands. You will lead a dedicated team of professional Buyers, and together you will drive improvement initiatives and safety measures that strengthen our market position. Your ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with both suppliers and stakeholders will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and develop your department.
• Represent procurement in the Stenungsund site management team.
• Actively participate in and drive improvement initiatives within the purchasing function.
• Negotiate, draft, and implement contracts to ensure the best price over time.
• Challenge needs and specifications to identify and implement cost savings.
• Contribute to improving purchasing processes and tools both operationally and from a long-term perspective.
• Implement and maintain global purchasing processes locally.
• Represent site procurement within Perstorp's purchasing network.
Qualifications:
• Higher education in engineering or economics and at least 5 years of work experience in procurement.
• Leadership experience.
• Industry experience, preferably from the chemical industry.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English.
• Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
