About this role

About the Role We are now seeking a Purchasing Assistant at Åhléns headquarters! As a Purchasing Assistant, you will work closely with the Product Manager in daily purchasing work, focusing on efficient and high-quality purchasing administration. This is a broad role with many contact points where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for ensuring our product range maintains the highest quality by working with product data, campaigns, and internal processes. Your tasks will include: • Managing and updating product, price, and assortment data in our systems. • Ensuring correct pricing, campaign coding, and seasonal adjustments of our product range. • Coordinating and managing internal and external communication with suppliers regarding assortment, campaigns, and administrative matters. • Proofreading and quality assuring product and campaign information. • Actively participating in developing and improving work processes in collaboration with your immediate manager. • Taking significant personal responsibility where your precision and commitment contribute to achieving our goals. You will become part of a committed team of 15 people in Åhléns Purchasing and Assortment Organization. You Will Bring: • Relevant education in purchasing or economics • Previous experience as a purchasing assistant • Preferably experience in retail and categories such as fashion or home • Good Excel skills • Excellent Swedish and English language skills, both written and spoken The Purchasing Assistant role involves coordinating and cross-functional work. Therefore, we place great importance on your ability to collaborate and communicate with new contacts and maintain relationships.
