About the position Hearing and Balance at Karolinska University Hospital is a highly specialized operation that conducts advanced diagnostics, treatment, research, and development in the fields of hearing and balance. As an engineer with us, you will be responsible for: - Operation, maintenance, and calibration of clinical equipment to ensure ongoing functionality and accurate measurement results - Procurement and installation of clinical equipment, measurement equipment for calibration, as well as IT-related equipment, ensuring that new equipment is compatible with existing equipment - Leading and participating in procurement processes - Training and support for staff in the handling of clinical equipment - Maintenance of measurement equipment-connected computers, installation, and upgrading of software - Participation in development and research projects within the organization. Most of the work will be carried out at our clinic in Karolinska Huddinge, as well as at other hospitals within the region. We are looking for someone who: - Has a strong technical interest and wants to contribute to developing our operations with high quality and patient safety - Thrives in a team environment but also has the ability to work independently and take responsibility for your tasks - Is meticulous, structured, and solution-oriented, with a willingness to contribute to improvement and development. Qualifications Requirements: - Educated as a university engineer or have other education/experience that we consider equivalent - Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written Meritorious: - Experience working in hearing care or audiological operations - Experience with medical technology equipment - Experience in procurement or project management - Experience in research or development projects within medical technology About the recruitment process Selection and interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis during the application period.
