The Swedish Armed Forces' Technical and Maintenance Office Logistics (TVK Log) is seeking an engineer for our section focused on General Maintenance and Fuel Equipment. We are currently on an exciting journey of growth and are looking to expand our team. We need additional support to help us optimize and coordinate the Swedish Armed Forces' material supply. About the Unit
TVK Log is a central player in the logistics management of the Swedish Armed Forces. We are responsible for ensuring that supplies and equipment are available and meet the needs of military units – in peace, crisis, and war. This also involves creating the conditions necessary for the Armed Forces' sustainability in areas such as fuel, food, and ammunition.
The unit consists of approximately 110 employees with a broad range of expertise in technology, logistics, and management. TVK Log is primarily composed of civilian staff, with a balanced distribution of women and men. Management is located in Boden, but we have representatives at several locations across the country. Our work is based on trust, collaboration, and a clear mission – to enable accessible military units through the right equipment at the right time.
Main Responsibilities
In this role, you will conduct design and configuration management tasks and perform technical work throughout the equipment's lifecycle. Your duties include ensuring that the materials to be used are safe and function as intended. You will lead and participate in project teams, technical investigations, and handle deviations and improvement proposals within the area. You will collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders.
As an engineer, you will also work on developing and creating technical specifications, requirements for procurement, and agreements within the area. You will perform technical controls and quality assurance, as well as configuration and needs assessment of technical measures. In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the materials and services delivered to the Armed Forces meet the agreed technical requirements. Maintaining records and ensuring the correct information is available in administrative systems will also be part of your responsibilities.
Requirements
Qualifications
• A university degree or higher education in engineering or equivalent technical expertise gained in other ways that the employer deems equivalent.
• Documented experience in technical work, requirement setting, technical design, preparation, configuration management, or maintenance solutions.
Personal Attributes
As a person, you possess excellent collaboration skills while being capable of working independently. You are development-oriented, proactive, and take your own initiatives. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to see connections. You should be communicative, pedagogical, and proficient in expressing yourself in both spoken and written Swedish and English. You will have significant responsibility for completing assigned tasks, which requires you to prioritize and work in a structured manner. Considerable emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Meritorious
• Documented knowledge and experience regarding maintenance and/or fuel equipment, its technical solutions, and integration with surrounding material systems.
• Documented experience with technical documentation and user instructions.
• Good experience with support systems in logistics or technical fields.
• Experience with SAP or similar production or business systems.
• A valid driver's license (category B).
Other Information
The employment is a permanent civilian position at full-time hours. A six-month probationary period will apply for those who are not already employed on a permanent basis within the Armed Forces.
Work Location: Boden
Travel for work may occur.
