Forsmarks Kraftgrupp is now seeking a radiation protection engineer who wants to combine technical expertise with societal benefit in a role that offers both variety and responsibility. About the Job The group is responsible for supervising production facilities regarding radiation protection, monitoring radiation doses, and preparing for work related to radiation protection. We also handle report writing, ADR transports, and support the waste group with radiological issues. You will be part of a smaller team with diverse experience and expertise, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are key. As a radiation protection engineer, you will support daily operations with radiological competence. Your responsibilities will include: • Drafting and updating instructions and procedures in the field of radiation protection • Conducting investigations and writing reports • Working with ADR transports of radioactive materials or focusing on a specific production area • Participating in meetings and collaborating with operations management, supervisors, and other stakeholders within Forsmark • Supporting management during absences • Conducting training for new employees Depending on your skills and interests, the role can be focused on two different areas. You may work with ADR transports of radioactive materials, where you will be responsible for developing and managing procedures in accordance with applicable regulations, including writing transport documents, updating instructions, and collaborating with internal and external parties. Alternatively, you may work closely with the operations organization in a specific production area, contributing radiological expertise to daily operations by classifying work areas, participating in production meetings, and conducting analyses and investigations. Regardless of the focus, the role offers great variety and the opportunity to influence your workday, with both operational elements and strategic work aimed at long-term development of the operations. Requirements We are looking for candidates who have: • A high school education in technology or natural sciences with work experience as a radiation protection technician or experience with ADR transports, for example, in chemicals, radioactive, or explosive substances • Good computer skills • Proficiency in Swedish and basic English Meritorious: • University education in a scientific subject • Experience in conducting training • Familiarity with Forsmark facilities • Knowledge of the SAP software As a person, you are analytical, solution-focused, and capable of planning your time effectively.
