About the Position
As an engineer with us, you'll work at a workplace that is unique in its design. The test site includes advanced air targets, mobile ground targets, technical systems such as radar stations, command systems, and various optical systems. We have a broad range of competencies at the test site, and as an engineer, you'll belong to the Communications and Telemetry Systems section, which is part of the technical unit.
The role involves participating when the Swedish Armed Forces and other external customers test new equipment, practice, or verify their capabilities at the Vidsel Test Site. In the section, you'll primarily operate our ground systems to receive telemetry data (measurement data from sensors) from customers' and our own aerial vehicles. The section is also responsible for the test site's Flight Termination System (FTS).
In your role as an engineer, in addition to operating our telemetry systems during tests, you'll work independently and in teams with troubleshooting, maintenance, and development of the test site's telemetry systems. You'll be trained in our telemetry system at the test site.
In this position, as part of your development, you may be involved in, drive, or lead projects in the telemetry area. Examples of projects can include investigations, feasibility studies, development projects, and procurement projects within the telemetry field. The work also includes administration and documentation related to the area, as well as supporting your team members, projects, or other sections as needed. We are particularly interested in candidates interested in future development opportunities related to structuring and leading work.

About You
We are seeking someone with a civil or university engineering degree, systems science, or other relevant education or experience that we consider equivalent. You have experience with technical work. To succeed in the role, it is necessary to have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You also hold a Class B driver's license.
It is meritorious if you have experience working in project form. We appreciate experience with agile methodologies. Previous experience with public procurement or leading other employees is an advantage. In relation to the telemetry area, it is meritorious to have several years of experience working in electronics, radio technology, networks, or troubleshooting in these areas. We look positively on good knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps. Knowledge in electronics, radio technology and antennas, networks, or programming is also meritorious.
