Welcome to the Municipal Executive Office. Here, you will work alongside colleagues in the departments of communication, HR, IT, finance, procurement, and property, as well as in the departments of quality and planning, sustainability, safety, security, and preparedness, as well as the secretariat. The Municipal Executive Office also houses the organizations for business and destination, as well as shared services. The Municipal Executive Office serves as the link between the decisions of our elected representatives and all municipal operations. Our mission includes coordinating and driving overarching issues related to democracy, community and business development, as well as ecological and social sustainability. For more information about working in Uppsala Municipality, please visit https://www.uppsala.se/jobb/ Would you like to contribute to improving the efficiency and analytical capabilities of Uppsala Municipality through digitalization and data management? Are you passionate about mapping, defining, and developing data sets? Do you, like us, believe that data is a strategic resource that can and should be used to develop operations? Then this job is for you! Organizationally, the team is placed within the group-wide analysis unit of the Quality and Planning Department (Municipal Executive Office). The analysis unit works both with recurring group-wide materials, such as population forecasts and environmental analyses, and with specific assignments from various parts of the organization. The department as a whole coordinates and supports the municipal group's operations in planning, follow-up, analysis, operational development, and innovation. Job Description As an information architect in Uppsala Municipality's data governance team, you will participate in the requirements-setting work for information architecture in collaboration with several other professional roles. The work is both operationally close, for example, by helping departments articulate requirements, and cross-departmental, by identifying needs and solutions for the entire organization or parts of it. The position will include: • Concept and information modeling • Leading workshops and otherwise supporting change-oriented work • Identifying, inventorying, structuring, quality-assuring, and describing data sets/flows • Documenting and standardizing master data and data quality processes. You will be part of a newly established data governance team, consisting of two additional information architects and led by a team leader. The team's mission includes providing an overarching vision for Uppsala Municipality's information architecture and data governance, as well as supporting operations in their data management at both strategic and more operational levels. The team's work also involves concrete, hands-on work with and review of operational data, including concept testing for the development of appropriate data flows. As an information architect, you will work closely with those who create, modify, and utilize operational data – both in ongoing operations and for follow-up, analysis, and operational development purposes. Qualifications We are looking for someone with an academic background in a relevant field, such as systems/computer science, informatics, or equivalent professional experience in information architecture or informatics that the employer deems relevant for the position. To succeed in this role, you need to have experience in information architecture in accordance with established architectural methods, tools, models, and processes. The work also requires experience in working with operational and/or IT development, leading workshops for information modeling, and engaging with operations based on an understanding of their processes, from case handlers to management level, as well as from investigation and analysis perspectives. Experience in contributing to concrete, operational collaboration for operational development is also a requirement for the position. We also expect you to have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Experience in architectural work within a government agency and in large organizations with many systems and varying data sets is considered an advantage. It is also beneficial if you have experience in change management or development work within the municipal sector. As a person, you have high integrity. You take responsibility for your tasks and structure your approach independently while driving your processes forward. We also see that you work well with others, relate to them in a responsive and flexible manner, and listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively. Furthermore, you have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and the various conditions of individuals. You adapt the way you convey your message to your audience. The job suits you if you plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively and set and adhere to deadlines. Additionally, you work well with complex issues. You analyze and break down problems into their components and solve complicated problems.
