About Us At the Student Department, we support students and other university functions, including areas such as admissions, student introduction, examination administration, student and teacher exchange, support for students with disabilities, degree certificate issuance, and system administration of several university IT systems. Infocenter is part of the Student Department and was established in autumn 2023. The operation serves as the entry point for incoming contacts and matters related to Örebro University. We are now seeking an Information Administrator for a temporary position. The Mission The development of Infocenter continues with the goal of consolidating support and assistance for simpler and routine matters to increase service accessibility for customers, including students, staff, and external contacts/visitors. Infocenter aims to create conditions for more uniform service and case handling, regardless of the contact channel. Infocenter works to improve the ability to provide direct answers to customer inquiries, handle cases, or ensure that the matter reaches the right person or function within the university if Infocenter cannot or should not handle the case. As an Information Administrator at Infocenter, you are the face of Örebro University. It is a varied role where you will work with a variety of inquiries and cases received from customers via phone, email/e-services, and in-person visits. Workload peaks occur periodically, such as at the start of semesters. Key Responsibilities Include: • Staffing various telephone channels • Working in multiple administrative systems • Handling cases from students, employees, and external parties via visits, phone, and email • Providing access cards, keys, etc. • Registering cases in case management systems • Selling profile products • Supporting our telephone solution (orders, complaints, etc.) • Managing public documents • Developing and updating routine descriptions As a temporary staff member, you will initially focus on staffing telephone channels. Qualifications Requirements: • Documented experience working in state or municipal Infocenter/Service Center/Customer Center operations • Minimum three-year high school diploma • Comfortable communicating in both Swedish and English (written and verbal) • Experience with telephone/switchboard systems • Experience handling in-person inquiries • Experience with case management systems • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with access system Origo • Experience with Tele2 switchboard • Experience with order interface TSO • Experience with key system Key Control • University/college studies Personal Suitability: Given that incoming inquiries drive daily work and communication varies across channels, we seek someone flexible, adaptable to changing circumstances, and not intimidated by new tasks. You should be able to professionally interact with diverse individuals, demonstrate high engagement, drive, and initiative. Additionally, you remain calm and stable under stress, maintaining a realistic perspective and high focus. To thrive in this role, you must be technically interested and comfortable learning new systems and interfaces. The work involves close collaboration within the Infocenter team. You will collectively work on developing the center's operations and are expected to actively contribute to a positive work environment, supporting and helping each other. Work will be on-site at the Örebro campus. We place significant emphasis on personal suitability. Employment Details: This is a full-time (100%) temporary position starting immediately, lasting until 2025-12-31. Örebro University applies individual salary setting.
