We regard gender equality and diversity as a strength and an asset. Industrial Relations Office The industrial relations team is responsible for MAX IV's industry-related activities. We assist industrial users and actively promote the facility across different industry sectors in collaboration with universities, mediator companies, and institutes. Our team of five works closely with beamline scientists, the Access & Collaborations group, management, and external partners to create value for industry through MAX IV's available tools. MAX IV is seeking an Industrial Relations Officer/Business Developer to help develop and drive the industrial user program. We are developing internal services and a strong partnership network to guide Swedish and international companies to MAX IV's experimental capabilities. We engage with industry directly through our offerings and via external activities across relevant Nordic industry sectors. We are currently strengthening our advanced imaging techniques activities with this new position. Your main responsibilities will include: - Coordinating and driving customer activities within the industrial relations office and identifying strategic collaborations - Working with Swedish and Nordic stakeholders to create an 'ecosystem' of academic and commercial partners facilitating industry access to synchrotron-based methods - Guiding potential customers to appropriate techniques and supporting them throughout their MAX IV journey - Developing new offers and business models for industrial use in collaboration with beamline teams and the industrial user community - Actively participating in the industrial relations team's development Required qualifications: - Ph.D. in natural sciences or engineering - First-hand experience with large-scale research infrastructures like synchrotrons or neutron facilities, preferably in imaging techniques - Fluent English communication skills Desirable merits: - Background in industrial research or academic research with extensive industrial collaborations - Business development and sales experience - Strong science communication interest - Existing scientific network - Swedish language skills Personal qualities: You are an outgoing, socially skilled professional passionate about guiding companies in solving R&D challenges using MAX IV's advanced research tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for establishing trustworthy partnerships. MAX IV is a Swedish national large-scale research infrastructure hosted by Lund University. It provides scientists worldwide with intense X-rays and state-of-the-art instrumentation for research in engineering, physics, structural biology, chemistry, and nanotechnology.
