We are now seeking a Sports Facility Caretaker for the Malmö Eastern Operations Section who wants to become part of our dedicated and competent team. As a Sports Facility Caretaker, you will work with the operation, maintenance, and upkeep of our sports facilities. You will contribute to creating safe, well-maintained, and pleasant environments where Malmö residents can pursue their leisure activities. We are recruiting for both permanent and temporary positions. Job Responsibilities As a team member in the Malmö Eastern Operations Section, you will handle various tasks involving the maintenance and care of the city's sports facilities in eastern Malmö. Together with your colleagues, you will ensure that our facilities, green areas, and activity spaces maintain a high standard, providing the best conditions for Malmö residents and local associations to conduct their activities. The work is diverse and involves both independent responsibility and group collaboration. Periodically, it can be physically demanding, so you should enjoy practical and outdoor work. Example tasks: • Maintenance of green areas, including care of grass and artificial turf fields and other activity spaces, including auxiliary area maintenance • Ice hall work, including ice resurfacing, cleaning, and minor repairs • Creating and maintaining good contact with associations and the public, providing excellent visitor service • Reporting maintenance issues and opening/closing facilities Working hours are varied and scheduled, with evening and weekend work approximately every fourth week. Qualifications We are seeking candidates with a high school diploma or other education and/or experience deemed equivalent by the employer. You must have a B driver's license for manual transmission vehicles. You need to communicate in Swedish verbally and in writing and have basic computer skills. Previous experience in maintenance work or similar service roles is preferred. Additional experience in the following is advantageous: • Green area maintenance, such as grass and artificial turf field upkeep • Ice hall maintenance • Sports facility or venue maintenance Education in green area or ice hall maintenance is considered an extra plus.
