The Culture and Leisure Administration is responsible for the municipality's libraries, cultural school, sports halls, sports facilities, open children and youth activities, grants to associations and study associations, cultural activities, VĂ„rby Library with Children's Art, Fullersta GĂ„rd, art procurement, and the distribution of scholarships and awards in sports and culture.
**Job Description**
Within the Sports and Facility Services unit, we create conditions for sports and an active leisure life for the residents of Huddinge Municipality.
The team manages and develops the municipality's sports facilities, sports halls, and outdoor areas. The assignment is broad, and we are responsible for ensuring that associations, schools, and the public can conduct their activities in our facilities. The workgroup consists of 31 dedicated employees, and we offer a developing and varied job.
You will play an important role in maintaining our good relationships with the association community, schools, and the public. The role of a sports facility worker includes various tasks such as supervision, maintenance, and basic upkeep of our facilities and sports equipment, operation and driving of vehicles and machinery, as well as cleaning. The work can occasionally be physically demanding.
The job also involves some administrative tasks such as orders, reporting issues, and correspondence with property managers, associations, schools, and suppliers. We meet daily with leaders and active members from the associations, school staff, students, and the public. Collaboration and good dialogue are important to us.
You are a good role model based on the municipality's and administration's shared values. Together with your colleagues, you work for a sustainable and cost-effective operation with good quality for our residents.
**Qualifications**
You have a B driver's license and experience/skill in operating heavy vehicles (e.g., tractor, implement carrier, ice machine). You have completed high school education and are proficient in the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
We would prefer if you have experience and/or education in a trade profession; experience in association activities is also an advantage.
You enjoy working with people and have a genuine ability to provide service. With a solution-oriented and engaged work approach, you contribute to maintaining our good relationships within the team, and with associations, schools, the public, and property owners. You are proactive and take the initiative to work independently, but you are also attentive and enjoy working in a team and contributing to the team's delivery.
