Your new job We are currently looking for a physical education teacher for Torpaskolan. In your role as a teacher with us, you will work towards the goal of ensuring that all students feel safe, achieve their learning objectives, develop as individuals, and experience a sense of belonging in school. Welcome to us Torpaskolan is located in the southern district of Jönköping. We are a three-parallel school from preschool to grade 6, with approximately 500 students. The school is organized into teams where teachers from various professional categories work together with students throughout the school day. Each team is associated with an after-school care program located within the school's premises. Currently, around 75 employees work closely with the students at Torpaskolan. You have a genuine commitment to the subject and recognize the value of promoting students' joy of movement, health, and self-esteem. You are a confident and clear leader who creates an inclusive and motivating environment where students feel seen and encouraged to develop – both physically and socially. In your role, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the education based on the curriculum and other governing documents. You will work both independently and collaboratively with colleagues in the team to create meaningful and developmental teaching for the students. You possess a good ability to assess and document students' knowledge development, utilizing digital tools as a natural part of your work. You are communicative and easily build positive relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You appreciate the strength of collaboration and actively contribute to a positive work environment where comfort, safety, and a conducive learning atmosphere are prioritized. As a mentor, you are an important adult for the students, supporting them in their progress both academically and socially.
