About this role
Would you like to become our new colleague? In Motala, the aquatic city of Östergötland, we are open, proud, and innovative. Our municipality is the right place for you to contribute, develop, and thrive. As our employee, you will have a responsible mission to work with us in adapting to changes and acting to develop a sustainable aquatic city life in Motala Municipality.
The primary and adapted primary school sector is part of the Education Administration. This sector comprises 21 primary schools as well as an adapted primary school, serving a total of approximately 4,500 students. Five of the primary schools are upper secondary schools, while the others, with a few exceptions, cover grades F-6. The sector also includes after-school care.
We like you – and we will help you grow. Our vision is that children and adults will develop together into creative, positive individuals who choose joy in life. Therefore, we offer a broad and deep operation where we provide you with opportunities, regardless of your goals. Motala should be an attractive and innovative part of the Östergötland region where it is easy to live and work. This is also our driving force within the Education Administration.
Zederslundsskolan is a grades 7-9 school in central Motala with easy access to transportation. Our school philosophy includes:
• We learn best when we feel our best.
• A culture where everyone is seen and missed.
• We have high expectations of one another.
• It should be possible – a positive mindset.
• Everyone is equally valued.
• Teaching focused on continuous improvement.
Around 320 students attend our school in 5 classes per grade. During the school day, students are often divided into different teaching groups for core subjects and modern languages. We have a high proportion of qualified teachers and work in teams and subject groups to enhance students' development towards higher achievement. In recent years, the school has engaged in school development in collaboration with the National Agency for Education to improve instruction. Being employed at Zederslundsskolan means that you will participate in building a new school culture alongside staff who have previously worked at two different schools. The classrooms are well-equipped with, among other things, projectors. Each student has a loaned laptop and works with TEAMS as a learning platform. Student democracy is important at the school, featuring a well-developed student council and class councils.
