Physical Education Teacher

Physical Education Teacher, Josefinaskolan Josefinaskolan is beautifully located between Märsta and Sigtuna. The school is run as a foundation and is non-profit, housing approximately 200 students from preschool to 9th grade with about 30 committed staff members who together contribute to an educational and safe school. We follow Lgr 22 in combination with the Waldorf pedagogical planning tool "A Way to Freedom". We are seeking someone who wants to lead the physical education subject, based on Waldorf pedagogy, and is an engaged and positive PE teacher. You will be part of a team working collectively to help students reach their highest potential. This is a temporary position starting January 2026, with potential for extension. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a teaching degree in physical education and health who enjoys inspiring students to move and develop healthy habits with confident leadership. Good knowledge of curriculum and steering document goals is required. Responsibilities You will work as a PE teacher with students from 1st to 9th grade. As a PE teacher, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating student instruction, individually and together with colleagues, student health services, and school management. You will also plan and organize sports days and outdoor activity days related to the subject. Promote good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians through meetings and documentation. You will work to create joy of movement, safety, and community - both during lessons and breaks. The position is 70% but may potentially be expanded to 100% as the school has a need for general socio-pedagogical tasks at 30%. Meritorious Education and/or experience in Waldorf pedagogy.
