Who are we?
Vikbolandsskolan is located in a picturesque area on Vikbolandet, in a rural setting with strong local ties and proximity to the archipelago. Here, students from preschool to grade 9 attend school, characterized by close relationships between students and adults, high engagement, and ongoing development work. The upper school has three parallel classes with about 20 students in each class.
The school is in an exciting phase where we are systematically working to build long-term structures for safety, studies, and increased goal achievement. You will be an important part of this work.
Your responsibilities
We are looking for a teacher for grades 7-9 who will teach physical education and health. The role includes daily contact with students, guardians, and colleagues, as well as administrative tasks.
You will share mentorship with a colleague. We are seeking someone with a relational approach and clear leadership in the classroom. You focus on the student and work with guidance and stimulation to meet students at both group and individual levels.
You will plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on our governing documents. You will be part of a work team and subject team, collaborate with guardians, and contribute to collegial learning at the school.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a teaching license with qualifications in physical education for grades 7-9. If you have experience in both practical and theoretical subjects, we see that as an asset.
You are accustomed to meeting challenging students and have the ability to create good relationships and teaching that meets students' diverse needs. We are in an exciting development phase where we are building long-term and sustainable structures together.
You are a secure and engaged teacher with broad pedagogical competence and a relational approach. You enjoy working closely with students of different ages and see the value in creating structure, participation, and safety – both in the classroom and in collegial collaboration.
As a person, you are adaptable and flexible in situations that require it. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have a coaching approach to both students and colleagues. You communicate information clearly and confidently, adjust your language according to the audience, and ensure that everyone understands.
